30th May 2018 Ship Alcide Pedretti, naval unit of the Diving and Inshore Pools "Teseo Tesei" (COMSUBIN), with the support of a team of the Diving Operations Group of the Navy has completed the underwater sampling activities carried out, as part of the collaboration agreement between the armed force and the Ministry of Economic Development (Mi.SE), at the offshore gas extraction platforms located inside the territorial waters in the Adriatic Sea.

The underwater operations have allowed, through a monitoring plan conducted by the personnel of the Navy in collaboration with the staff of the Mi.SE, to acquire at the base of different platforms the samples of the so-called "stratum waters", ie the water present in the layers geological sea bottom where the hydrocarbons are extracted.

In addition to carrying out the institutional duties of Defense and Security, the Navy makes available to the community its professionalism, its staff and its means in a range of activities and operations ranging from social, humanitarian, environmental, to the scientific and in all sectors of interest of the community. It is the so-called concept of "commitment to the community" that is realized thanks to the intrinsic operational flexibility, in collaboration opportunities in the context of dedicated agreements that the Marina stipulates with ministries, institutions, institutions and organizations.
