The expiration of the Expero Navy frigate in the NATO Sea Guardian operation ends

In addition to these activities, the naval forces assigned to the operation, when specifically authorized, may carry out activities of maritime interdiction, protection of freedom of navigation, protection of sensitive maritime infrastructures and the fight against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

Ship I hope under the command of the frigate captain Giorgio Occhetto, is an anti submarine frigate belonging to the class Mistral. Launched the 19 November 1983 and entered the 4 May 1985 service, the ship has a crew of about 160 military, between men and women, including the specialized teams of the San Marco navy brigade and the military component of the Navy with an AB212 helicopter on board .
