The migrants, coming from Syria, Egypt and Iraq, were assisted by the medical staff on board and, with the exception of one case of hypothermia, all were declared in good health.

At the same time the frigate Aliseo, in close coordination with the Catania Anti-Mafia District Directorate, carried out the seizure of a mother ship and arrested the 15 crew members, at the end of a complex and articulated surveillance operation.
