On the occasion of the release in Italy of the film "The Wonders of the Sea", the next 17 May, M2 Pictures in partnership with the Navy organizes a series of initiatives aimed at raising awareness among young people about the importance of environmental protection marine making known the commitment of the Navy in this area.

The Wonders of the Sea, directed by Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of the legendary explorer and director Jacques Cousteau, and narrated by Arnold Schwarzenegger, is an extraordinary experience, a tribute to the sea that wants to bring the attention of the general public to the urgency of safeguarding it.

The director embarks with his sons Celine and Fabien and his crew, on a journey from Fiji to the Bahamas, to explore unknown oceans and find out more about what threatens them. The breathtaking images were captured thanks to three years of research and development of new shooting tools, which allowed the 3D underwater shooting in 4K resolution.

Thanks to these new shooting techniques, millions of viewers can immerse themselves in an incredible underwater world without getting wet!

The collaboration includes the organization of film previews in schools in the main cities where the Navy is present, including Livorno, Rome, Venice (Mestre), Genoa and Ancona.

The beginning of the projections will be preceded by the intervention of personnel of the Navy which will illustrate the issue and reiterate the need to safeguard, respect and preserve the marine environment.

The collaboration has already seen the Navy participate in the day dedicated to the film organized by Sky entitled "A Sea To Save" at the Sky Academy Studios.

During the activities promoted during the initiative, the children of the Primary Salvo D'Acquisto Primary School in San Donato Milanese participated in a workshop dedicated to the protection of the sea and then realized a journalistic service on the topics covered.
