Yesterday inside Palazzo Marina, the Chief of Staff of the Navy Admiral Valter Girardelli met Ensign Emanuele Lo Schiavo, official diver of the Operating Group Underwater (GOS), returned to Italy after successfully completing the course Joint Diving Officer (JDO) in Florida - USA.
The results of the tests achieved by Emanuele Lo Schiavo at the end of the course at United States Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City Beach Florida, which place it in absolute second place in the history of the US Navy, demonstrate the high level of preparation and specialization of our divers. A very hard course in the USA lasting 4 months to acquire the ability to conduct and direct military underwater operations in the ocean that only few have been able to complete. In fact, some of the official 28s present - including foreign 4 - only in US 19 and Ensign Lo Schiavo passed every test, completing training with profit.
Thanks to excellent psycho-physical skills, Ensign Emanuele Lo Schiavo has also achieved the title of Honor Graduate, having ranked first in the respective course, distinguishing itself in various academic and practical tests. A prestigious result that honors not only the Navy, but all of Italy.
