The maritime brigade San Marco trains the special forces of the Libyan navy

The 15 May ended at the Ermanno Carlotto barracks in Brindisi the second edition of the Course of Amphibious Indoctrination for the Libyan Navy personnel.

During the closing ceremony presided over by the commander of the 1 ° regiment San Marco, captain of vessel Francesco Marino, and in the presence of the head of the military section of the Libyan embassy in Rome, ten soldiers belonging to the special forces of the Libyan navy were handed over frequency as recognition of the achieved professional goal.

The course, held at the marina brigade Saint Mark of the Italian Navy, has seen for six weeks the Libyan military engaged in an intense tactical training in amphibious environment and in numerous training activities with increasing difficulty, with the aim of increasing the operational capabilities of the same foreign staff arrived in Italy last 5 April.

The navy of the Libyan navy sealed the formative moment with a final amphibious exercise, lasting for 48 hours, planned and conducted at the amphibious training center of the Navy Island of the Pedestrian Island, under the supervision of the marine brigade instructor Saint Mark.

Il Amphibious indoctrination course represents a precious opportunity for cooperation between the personnel belonging to the Italian and Libyan marines, and represents an added value in the dialogue between the two countries.
