Medical transport from London for a two-month-old girl

In the afternoon of Wednesday 21 December a medical transport was concluded from the airport of London - Biggin Hill to that of Brescia - Montichiari, in favor of a child of only two months, suffering from a rare disease and in need of specialized care, 

The aircraft, a Falcon 900 EASy of the 31 ° Stormo di Ciampino, took off this morning from the Roman airport on the orders of Summit Situation Room of the air force command of the Air Force, at the request of the Brescia prefecture.

A specialized medical team also traveled on board the Falcon 900 to assist the child during the entire journey.

Arriving at Biggin Hill airport, after having boarded the child and the parents, the aircraft left for Montichiari, where the little patient was transferred aboard an ambulance to the hospital of the Spedali Civili in Brescia, which will lend the specialist care needed.

The aircraft of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino are used for state transport and for public utility missions, such as emergency medical transport of the sick, severely traumatized and transplant organs, as well as for interventions in favor of people in any case in risk situations.

The 60% of patients transported on these flights is between the ages of 0 and 3 years.
