On 21 June the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe (SACEUR), General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, on the occasion of the SACEUR's Commanders' Conference held at the Joint Force Command Naples (JFCNP), in the presence of all the authorities employed within the Allied Command Operations (ACO), awarded the SACEUR Recognition Award a small number of soldiers, including an officer of the Air Force, Major Pasquale Petrillo, serving at the JFCNP.
The award is a prestigious recognition that the Supreme NATO commander in Europe pays tribute to those who have distinguished themselves for extraordinary merits of service after careful selection within the entire European staff of the ACO (about 7000 units, between military and civilian ).
The General Scaparrotti expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the commitment, dedication and efficiency that the award-winning staff has expressed at the highest levels and thanked their families for the closeness and the support provided to their loved ones.
