A medical transport was completed with a Falcon 900 aircraft Easy of the 31 ° Stormo of Ciampino of the Air Force in favor of a child of 3 years in Imminent Danger of Life (IPV) on the route Brindisi / Rome to be, subsequently, transported to the Gemelli Policlinico of Rome. The transport required by the prefecture of Brindisi was necessary because the little patient urgently needed medical assistance. On board, in addition to a medical team to stabilize the patient during the flight phases, family members were also present.

The Air Force transport aircraft and helicopters are ready 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, to intervene for public service missions such as emergency medical transport of people in imminent danger of life, or that of organs and medical teams for transplants. The service covers the entire national territory, including islands, and when requested by the competent authorities is also carried out in favor of Italian citizens who are abroad.
