The works for the installation of a new radar for air traffic control have begun at the Pisa airport by the 4th telecommunications and DA / AV systems brigade of Borgo Piave (Latina). the one already in use currently by the 46th Air Brigade.
The new radar, of the mobile type, will in fact be used as the back up of the principal. The installation of this additional system was decided by the Italian Air Force to give absolute continuity to the radar service at the Pisa airport.
With the entry into service of the additional radar, Pisa airport will be able to count on an even more efficient and reliable radar service.
