An initiative of high solidarity and human value that involves the staff and students of the Aeronautical Academy of Pozzuoli in facing the shortage of blood supplies. About 130 those who have responded positively to the appeal and who have been undergoing blood sampling, directly from the Academy, from the past few days and over the next few weeks.
The activity is carried out in favor of young patients assisted by the Pediatric Oncological Parents Association (AGOP) at the Pediatric Oncology Service of the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" which promoted the initiative and also thanks to the contribution of 'AVIS (Association of Italian Blood Volunteers) who support the project with their own blood bank to carry out the blood samples.
The initiative falls within the context of the program "Trainee at the Center", developed for about three years at the Academy and which, as explained by the Commander, General Nicola Lanza de Cristoforis: "welcomes our traditions of service and attention to the needs of the territory and of people, always in the DNA of our men even before in the mission of the Armed Forces. It defines the lines of development of a process of continuous change aimed at the highest quality of training, at the best international level and is part of the guidelines for the Command of the Command of the Air Force Schools for the year 2017 . In concrete terms, it is a coordinated and finalized series of projects that allow the full realization of the Mission and Vision of the Institute to serve the country with quality ideas and facts and therefore be increasingly useful to the community. And this way, the staff becomes the protagonist of initiatives that help others and, at the same time, contribute to developing the perception of the importance of each one's contribution to a common goal. The blood donation initiative in favor of small cancer patients is only the latest in a series of initiatives that demonstrate the sensitivity and attention of those who, like us, decide to spend their lives for the service. About donations - specifically - it is not the first and it will not be the last time".
