From February 13 to 3 March, Rivolto airport (UD), home of the 2 ° Stormo and 313 ° Acrobatic Training Group "Frecce Tricolori", was the site of the theoretical phase of the 37 ° Shooting and Tactical Instructor Course (ITT).
The course, focused on the knowledge of the weapon systems in use in the Armed Forces, with a view to continuous training and education, also embracing topics related to the "intelligence" branch, was managed starting from this edition fromItalian Air Warfare Center of the Air Operations Command, with the aim of providing all the Air Force warfare operators with the necessary tools to build and validate operational tactics each for the respective weapon systems.
For this purpose, the training course aims to integrate all the skills that can be expressed by the different operational realities of the Air Force, involving, in addition to sailors of all flight lines (coming therefore from the aerotactic lines, from the transport lines and the rotary wing) , on-board operators, sensor operators, air defense controllers and air missile defense personnel (under the latter, right at Missile Group of the 2 ° Stormo).
The course deals with various topics, including in-depth studies on the defense of the electromagnetic spectrum, on electronic countermeasures, provides elements of physics and mathematics and focuses its attention on the profound knowledge of skills and, as mentioned, on the indispensable need for fusion and integration of the latter to aim to improve the overall efficiency of the Air and Space Power.
The theoretical phase, common to all participants, is followed by a further theoretical in-depth study specific to each flight / warfare capacity line and by a substantial volative phase in which, together again, the issues related to the application of operational tactics are tackled, support for air operations and consolidation of instructional capacities. The total duration of the course is about six months and in Rivolto the first phase, the common theoretical one, started at the Pratica di Mare Airport.
