Thursday 18 May, at the "Giulio Cesare Graziani" hall of the 70 ° Stormo, the ceremony of delivery of the Eagles to four frequenters of the Italian Army who have successfully completed the demanding training process for the achievement of the Airplane Pilot Patent (BPA). The ceremony was held in the presence of Brigadier General Giancarlo Mazzieri, commander of the Army Aviation Training Center, and of the pilots' families.
During the ceremony, the commander of the 207 ° Gruppo Volo took the floor, thanking the visitors for the unconditional determination and strong motivation shown, saying that "your Armed Forces are proud of your professionalism and competence and results. so far reached and you will still know how to reach ".
After the delivery of the Eagles, the new patents were delivered by the commander of the 207 ° Gruppo Volo and by the "dean" of the flight instructors of the Pontine school, the lithographs representing the SF260EA aircraft and the traditional airplane pilot certificate, this last, symbolic document that marks the acquisition of the first airplane patent.
To close the ceremony, he was the commander of 70 ° Stormo, Colonel Luca Vitali, who after thanking the authorities and guests who took part in the solemn ceremony, turned to the four pilots pointing out that "the delivery of eagles, symbol of the patent of airplane pilot, is the first real important step in the life of a future military pilot.In today's case, having been able to train patrons already military helicopter pilots also having some experience behind it was a great opportunity, the opportunity for an exchange of different experiences and a renewed challenge with oneself ".
The course completed by the four patents was very intense and predicted theoretical phases, conducted for the first time ever for the 70 ° Stormo also in e-learning mode, and flight phases performed on the SF260EA aircraft.
