In the night between 19 and 20 February, the C 130 aircraft of the 46 ^ Air Brigade of Pisa and F of Ciampino's 31st flock took off in favor, respectively, of a one-year-old and a four-month-old baby in imminent danger of life.

The first request, arrived from the prefecture of Pescara, involved a child who needed transport by ambulance, which is why Vertice Operating Room of the Armed Force has alerted the 46esima aerial brigade of Pisa where a C-130, the only one able to ensure this type of transport, got up in direct flight, first in Genoa to embark the ambulance and the medical team and, later, in Pescara to transport the small patient to Genoa. From here, in the early hours of the morning, the child was transported by ambulance to the Gaslini Hospital of Genoa to receive the necessary treatment.

The second request came from the Prefecture of Sassari which alerted, also in this case, the Summit Situation Room of the Air Squad Command, responsible for the coordination and management of this kind of missions in favor of the community. The F of Ciampino's 31st flock, which arrived in Alghero to embark a four-month-old baby, took off in the night and landed at Milan Linate about an hour later. Once in Milan, the little patient was transported to the Niguarda Ca 'Granda hospital to receive the required treatment.

Both aircraft, after the two emergency transport operations, respectively returned to Pisa and Ciampino.
