Aerocooperation: the 22 ° "Remote Sensing Operator" course has been completed

At the Aerocooperation school of Guidonia (RM), six Air Force soldiers and one from the Navy successfully completed the 22 ° Corso RSO (Remote Sensing Operator) whose objective is to provide the essential information for the recognition, treatment and management of remotely sensed images, with particular reference to the digital ones coming from different types of optical, electro-optical and radar sensors.

In the field of remote sensing, this initial professionalism is preparatory to higher level courses aimed at acquiring the qualifications of "Interpreter" and "Military analyst of remote sensing images". Always at the Aerocooperation schoolin fact, part of the visitors to this session will continue the professional training in the sector by attending the RSI and RSMA courses (Remote Sensing Interpreter e Remote Sensing Military Analyst - extraction of data from remotely sensed images through the implementation of processes for their treatment and photo-interpretation analysis).

La Aerocooperation school it is the military inter-agency of specialized training and technical-operative value in the field of the interpretation of remote sensing images (aerial and satellite) and in that of aeroterrestre and aeronavale cooperation. The courses of the School are open not only to the military personnel of the armed forces, but also to personnel external to the defense administration and to the military personnel of NATO and of the countries participating in the international program of Partnership for Peace (PfP - Partnership for Peace), subject to authorization by the Defense General Staff.

The training / training procedures for Synthetic Aperture Radar Imagery Interpretation (SAR-II), Initial / Advanced Remote Sensing (IRS / ARS) e Forward Air Controllers (FAC) have obtained NATO certification and are published in the course catalog (ETOC) of theAllied Command for Transformation of Norfolk (USA).
