Not even the Chinese radar stop the F-35

Images of an Israeli commercial satellite showed the destruction caused by an attack by F-35I ADIR (Israeli version of the F-35A), the Tel Aviv Air Force, against a military installation near Damascus International Airport, last 20 January.

The target of the attack - probably made using anti-radiation missiles AGM-88E AARGM - was the Chinese construction radar JY-27, supplied to the Syrian Defense Forces. It is a rapid and long-range discovery system, designed and developed to provide early warning information (which is immediately transmitted to surface-to-air missile batteries) and also to detect aircraft targets with technology stealth, like the F-35 and F-22 fighters.

It seems clear - given the successes reported in recent months - the relative ease with which the Aviation with the Star of David is able to puncture Syrian air defenses, despite the acquisition of modern Russian and Chinese equipment.
