Following the announcement of 14 June 2019, on the occasion of the definition of the operating terms for the establishment of a 50/50 joint venture between Fincantieri and Naval Group, today the two companies announced the name of the new company: NAVIRIS, which evokes a robust partnership to guarantee a know-how of superior quality, projected towards an international scenario.
The name was presented in Genoa during the last Steering Committee (which meets alternately every quarter in France and Italy) and represents a new step forward in the strong collaboration between Fincantieri and Naval Group.
The alliance represents a great opportunity for both groups and their ecosystems to improve their ability to serve their respective national navies, to acquire new export contracts, to develop new technologies and, ultimately, to increase the competitiveness of the naval sectors of the two countries. The establishment of the JV is expected as scheduled by the end of the year.
