Yesterday during a ceremony held at the Headquarters of the Mina Salman Royal Naval Force in Bahrain, Leonardo delivered the first of the six Al Manama class ships, which are being upgraded with advanced high-tech systems.
The modernization was carried out in advance of the delivery times provided for in the agreement signed in the 2015 which also includes a new weapon control system, training and logistics services.
This is only the latest in a series of successes for Leonardo in Bahrain, where the company has also provided advanced air traffic control radar systems to improve the safety and efficiency of national airspace management.
Bahrain, as well as other countries in the Gulf region, can be further supported by the experience of Leonardo in the field of naval systems, a sector in which the company has a long experience in supplying and updating corvette systems, patrol vessels and frigates, and in the land sector, with fully integrated defense solutions and modernization programs.
