Boeing delivered more commercial aircraft than any other manufacturer for the sixth consecutive year and set an industry record with 763 deliveries in the 2017, thanks to the strong result of the 737 leading aircraft and 787 aircraft. At the same time, the company increased its backlog with 912 net orders, thus reflecting the thriving demand for its single and twin-aisle aircraft.

Boeing has reached yet another peak in the 737 program with increasing production at 47 aircraft a month and starting deliveries of the new 737 MAX, with a record of 529 deliveries, including 74 series MAX aircraft. In the 787 Dreamliner program, Boeing continued its high-speed production for twin-aisle aircraft, reaching 136 deliveries a year.

"This record-breaking performance confirms that our employees along with our supplier partners continue to find new and innovative ways to design, build and deliver the most fuel-efficient aircraft to customers around the world.”Said Kevin McAllister, Boeing Commercial Airplanes President & CEO.

On the order side, 71 customers placed 912 net orders, worth $ 134,8 billion at list prices. The total expands Boeing's order book to a record 5.864 aircraft - at the end of the year - which equates to approximately seven years of production.

"The solid sales activity reflects the continued strong demand for the 737 MAX family, including the ultra-efficient MAX 10 variant we launched last year and the growing market preference for the Boeing family of twin-aisle jets", Added McAllister. "The developments of our production program in the coming years are designed to meet this high demand".

In the 2017 the 787 Dreamliner family has accumulated up to about 100 net orders, the 777 60 family net orders, as shown in the table below. A detailed report is available on the Boeing website, in the section Orders and Deliveries.

Among other important achievements in the commercial aircraft sector, we recall the first flight of the 737 MAX and 787-10 Dreamliner and the start of production of the 737 MAX 7 and the new 777X.
