According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Tobruk government, the fall of Tripoli would only be a matter of hours. The troops of General Haftar, supported by Russian contractors (but substantially under the control of the Kremlin) are beating the defenses of the militias (mainly of Turkish ethnicity) in the pay of the government of national unity chaired by al-Sarraj.
In light of the facts, the announcement a few days ago, by Turkish President Erdogan, should not have surprised much on the concrete possibility of employing Ankara troops to defend Tripoli.
Obviously the Italian Executive is completely displaced, with Foreign Minister Di Maio next Tuesday should (the conditional is obligatory at this point) to go to Tripoli to try to reaffirm Italy's role in Libya, after the continuous humiliation by the other actors in the game.
