Why not go to war now

The biggest mistake made in the war in Iraq and Libya was the absence of a government strategy in the period "post-conflict". Before embarking on a war, the enemy is analyzed from the point of view of military capabilities, the funding to which it draws, the possible existence of third countries that flank the anonymity of the cause of the crisis, the location of military and paramilitary forces on the territory, of the type of weapons possessed and of a myriad of other useful information for the war process. Today it is no longer enough, we need to think about what to do after the conflict. Our wrong strategic assessment of the recent past was probably the cause of the proliferation of fundamentalist terrorist organizations. Wrong policies and the failed integration of immigrant citizens from war zones have fostered social resentment and hatred, ridden by ISIS and resulted in the recent Paris attacks.

After Paris, we woke up and became more aware that we are unprepared for this threat that affects everyone's life. We are trying to establish a global coalition, to destroy ISIS. We try to give an immediate answer to the ferocity carried within our homes.

The clash on the field would seem the most logical solution, but not the solution in my opinion. I would seek and strike those who favor the purchase of oil, drugs and weapons and I would begin to really favor integration policies for all the moderate Islamists who live and work in our states. Yesterday there were various demonstrations of moderate Islamists, in half of Europe and I do not think there was a huge crowd. Neither do they trust us anymore because we have never been on their side and we were not with them to demonstrate under the slogan "NOT IN MY NAME". Really hitting fundamentalism means creating a new social dimension where real integration between peoples, races and religions takes place. The United States of America is a current example of integration. They solved, most of the natural problems, pouring everyone's expectations and hopes into a symbol of union, the "flag". Also in Europe we should implement new policies of social integration and direct citizens towards new symbols, symbols recognized by all, such as the flag of the European Union. On the other hand, we can defeat and annihilate ISIS on the ground, but we will always have to face resentment and hatred towards us that we have not been able to remedy a phenomenon that we ourselves have generated and encouraged. In these conditions the "Foreign fighters". Their "heterogeneity", as seen, constitutes a formidable and unique weapon because it does not exist but at the same time it is everywhere and generates the uncertainty of the threat between limits of space and time undefined, generates the terror that undermines security and peace and limits our daily life. They have already won!

As it seems, going to war will be inevitable and when this happens we will have to be aware that many lives will be lost and could be better than the best predictions. The defense and security of one's own country is often paid with a high price, with blood. The only task of our politicians is to think, beyond party skirmishes, of a common and seriously shared strategy: our boys and girls with stars will be the only ones who will go to the front line in the air, on the ground and by sea to guarantee and preserve our defense and security. The decision must be choral and shared, it must be the most correct and thoughtful choice for the level of ambition of our country and above all for our consciences.
