April 25 and the wrong guest: the Palestinian question

(To David Rossi)

The anti-Fascists' 25 every year - not since yesterday - force the descendants of the Jewish religion of those who really fought the forces of Hitler Germany and the Allied Social Republic to parade almost in secret, in order not to be challenged, when not of violence, by Palestinian groups and small groups and their acolytes of the left (and even the extreme right) in Italy. Let me forgive the joke: they would have greater qualification to demonstrate the German anti-fascist partisans (who today do not have descendants because they were all annihilated by the Nazis in the first years of the Second World War1, except for Cardinal Clemens August Von Galen, a real goad in the flesh of the Nazis2, which the Hitler regime could never silence3), rather than the grandchildren of that Amin al-Husseini, second cousin of Yasser Arafat, who never hid the collaboration4, as well as sympathy, with nazifascism5.

Yeah, the question arises spontaneously: what do the Palestinians do with the celebrations of the defeat of Hitler's power in Italy? What does the reason, though highly respectable, of the independence of the Palestinians in common with the liberation of Europe from Nazism and fascism? And ultimately, has not our country already immolated enough blood and energy on the altar of the problems - above all of this people? From the massacres in Fiumicino airport to the Moro murder, from the Italicum massacre perhaps to the darkest crimes of the seventies and eighties, even the Red Brigades: we are not yet full of cowardly crimes and deaths killed in vain? The left has not yet understood that if there is a country built on the socialist model that is Israel? The right does not have the intelligence to understand that the Zionist cause is a daughter of the same culture from which the Italian Risorgimento originated? Even the sympathizers of the extreme right do not see how Jewish participation in the fascism of the beginning, at least up to the engagement with the German pictorial and the discovery of the racist ideology, was serious and numerous?

Please return your dimension to the Palestinian question: out of the celebrations for the defeat of their former allies.

PS The writer believes that the Palestinians have the right to have their territory - safe and economically productive - and their political capital within the territory of Jerusalem, which may be the capital of two states while remaining undivided, as happened in Rome.

1 The most famous, the white rose, was exterminated between February and April of the 1943.

2 Let's remember, among his most famous homilies, these words: "We admit the principle, now applied, that the unproductive man can be killed, then woe to all of us when we are old and decrepit. If you can kill unproductive beings, then woe to the invalids, who in the productive process have committed their forces, their healthy bones, have sacrificed and lost them. Woe to our soldiers, who come back to their country, severely mutilated, disabled. Nobody is safer than his life".

3 "If the bishop were to proceed now, all of Westphalia would be lost for the war effort"Joseph Goebbels said.

4 "Many common interests exist between the Islamic world and Greater Germany and this makes our collaboration a natural fact. The Koran says: You will find that Jews are the worst enemies of Muslims. There are considerable points in common between Islamic principles and those of National Socialism, namely in the concepts of struggle, of comradeship, in the idea of command and in that of order. All this brings our ideologies to meet and facilitates cooperation. I am pleased to see in this Division a clear and concrete expression of both ideologies".

5 "Muslims inside and outside Palestine welcome the new German regime and hope that the fascist and undemocratic system of government will prevail in other countries".
