Considerations after the plane crash in Spain

At 14 this afternoon, the news of a plane crash occurred in Spain to a military aircraft returning to the Albacete base after having participated in the military parade in Madrid for the national anniversary of the Hispanidad which is celebrated every year on the day of the discovery of 'America (October 12).

The cap. pilot Borja Aybar, at the controls of the airplane has unfortunately died in the crash.

Unfortunately certain coincidences have served on the silver plate a certain type of setting to a certain type of journalism in search of numbers. "Journalism" Italian made of primary national newspapers that have not lost a good opportunity to deny their real nature.

It was as usual said that someone saw "a fireball" (every time is said), but the most unworthy thing was to have seen the immediate association of this incident with the recent tragic incident of Terracina, reproposing the movie.

Surely some coincidences have made it possible to do so (short time between the two accidents, type of aircraft, pilot's degree and also the presence of relatives to the tragic impact), but this is not the way to do information. This is doing audience. Useful numbers to be transformed into money thanks to advertising, neglecting the real task that should have serious and fair information.

We limit ourselves to underline the high ethical and moral professionalism of these professionals who did not fall into an intervention to defend their country, but who were ready to do so (and perhaps they did) in who knows how many occasions.

We know well that those who read these pages think the same way and for how many we can be (we are really in many) we will never be as many as the ignorant (paid or not) that comment and write in a different way, in the contemporary mediatic ocean.

I had written a article to comment on the importance of aerial demonstrations such as that of Marina di Grosseto, but although it may have been appreciated by those who have read it, it does not repay me for the indignation provoked me by certain comments read for the tragic demonstration in Terracina and by others that certainly I will read for this incident.

As it is "proposed" by our newspapers on the payroll of parties in the electoral campaign, today's incident, for what happened outside the border, could in fact offer a new megaphone to the voice of a certain type of national anti-militarist populism, which should be first instructed, then educated and finally trained in certain outmoded values, but still fundamental. Help us to do it.

Such as? Well, if you go to the sites of these newspapers and you will find the comments that I found, respond in kind.

But without now wanting to transform into controversy those that are tragic fatalities, we join the pain of the families of these pilots, their comrades in arms and ward (who are their second family), sincerely saddened by the loss of precious examples of human capital.
