Military issue in uniform and Trenitalia Lazio Region: the other side of the coin?

13/04/17

Good evening Director, I am writing to represent my disdain compared to the articles regarding the discriminatory announcement issued by TI to ask the uniformed staff to get up in case of overcrowded trains.

I have been traveling by 30 for years and believe me what you see on trains for two years now is really disconcerting.

Early in the morning and in the early afternoon the Military occupy the 35 / 40% of train seats well and believe me I have never seen one stand up to make room for a woman, an elder or whoever it is.

It is not possible to photograph them but I assure you that I witnessed absurd scenes like graduates who snored unaware of everything that was happening around them, in the face of security support!

I don't want to give you the history as the non-commissioned officer did in the article (more) but I have to tell one in particular:

Rome Cassino 16,42, we are sitting and there are people standing, two ladies of about 60 years arrive and one of them asks for a place for her friend because she is coming from the hospital where she was subjected to chemotherapy treatment.

Well the sitting military didn't get up but a girl stood up beside him, I stood up on the other side to let the other lady sit, once he was up he gave way to the lady BUT HE DID ITSELF TO MY! !!!!!! And let's talk about discrimination!

The non-commissioned officer in the article talks about the behavior and respect of the people towards the Military in America, in America a soldier sitting in the train will never find it because the military code does not foresee it and because they have a deep respect for the uniform and the country they represent .

It is not a problem if they pay the ticket or not, a soldier in uniform if there are commuters standing you must give him the place.

If Trenitalia has come to the point of having to make the announcement, it is because the common sense requested so far by the traveling staff has been useless.

And as always in Italy the announcement has been abolished and the struggle has become that of the poor who slaughter each other.
Think of the foreigners who attend these scenes, both those of contrast and those of them sitting and the rest standing ... Then we complain because they laugh at us!

Thanks for the attention.

Greetings

VF
