The Ministry of Defense participates for the first time in the “Outdoor Expo.EU 2019” event, the appointment for sports, tourism and outdoor activities enthusiasts.
Earth, air, fire and water: these are the elements that the men, women and vehicles of the Italian Armed Forces go through every day and that unite them at the sport and tourism fair en plein air. From 1 to 3 March it will be possible to meet the soldiers of the Italian Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the Carabinieri, to learn about their experiences in contact with the four elements and to experience some of their training, through gymnastic courses and simulators. An important moment to learn about the dual capabilities of personnel, means and military organization to operate in any condition and in every element, both in the case of military operations and in support of the population.
At Pavilion 21 of the Bologna Fair, visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the Military fitness Army, an athletic-sports path that simulates the basic training of the soldier where, through a circuit with obstacles and under the careful supervision of instructors, it will be possible to carry out exercises with various obstacles to test resistance, agility and strength physics.
Or try your hand at the fascinating Navy sailboat simulator that will allow young and old to try the wonderful sport of sailing, reproducing the maneuvers necessary to make the most of the direction and speed of the wind with military instructors at their side. .
The air will be experimented through the interactive flight simulator Typhoon of the Air Force which, reproducing some sensations and the subjective view of the pilot, will give the possibility to experience the thrill of flying in a few minutes.
Finally, with the forest police, who also have the task of protecting the fauna and the territory, it will be possible to visit the nature village, a representation of the world of biodiversity and natural riches to be protected.
