The hydro-oceanographic ship Admiral Magnaghi will be in the port of Genoa from Tuesday 1 October to Sunday 6 October 2019 for the international workshop METROSEA 2019.

The ship, commanded by the frigate captain Roberto Rossini, will be moored at the commercial port of Genoa (Molo Ponte dei Mille - Levante).

Fleet legacy unit, Ship Magnaghi sails since the launch in 1974 for the safety of all sailors. Its task is in fact to plumb (in the jargon "detect" the seabed) to produce and update the nautical documentation essential for navigation, both military and merchant, in close collaboration with the Hydrographic Institute of the Navy.

In its activity the Unit has carried out numerous hydrographic campaigns along all the coasts of the peninsula.

On the occasion of the stop, Ship Admiral Magnaghi will be accessible to the public for visits on board in favor of the population in the days:

- Wednesday 2 October: from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 15.00 to 18.00;

- Saturday 5 October: from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 15.00 to 18.00.
