Enlist, the military career (of the Academy) extends life and expands horizons!

Last Friday the Army portal gave prominence to the following event that we report ...

The sixtieth anniversary of the 14 ° course in Modena

Yesterday morning, the 14 ° Course of the Military Academy met in Modena to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of that distant 28 October 1957 in which young 300 crossed, for the first time, the door of the glorious Institute. Over 220 were among former students and family members to celebrate the event and to honor, with affection and emotion during Holy Mass, the 100 absent because "went ahead".
The "flag group", which represented them all, is currently composed of Generali Bruno Zoldan, Emidio Siliquini and Rolando Mosca Moschini. The 14 ° Course has been able to express within the space of these sixty years 11 General of the Army Corps, a Senator, a Deputy, a Regional President of the Court of Auditors, a President of the Superior Council of Defense, a Chief of Staff of the Defense (also became President of the Military Committee of the European Union and Counselor for the Affairs of the Supreme Defense Council and Secretary of the Supreme Defense Council), a Prefect, a Councilor of State at the Court of Auditors (as well as Federal Judge of the FIGC ), a university professor, a project manager in a large American company and a Jumbo commander and Alitalia standardizer.
Now, almost all octogenarians, they have seen each other together in the places of their youth, where they have forged their character to face the responsible and prestigious positions that they have been called to perform both at national and international level. They relived with emotion all the happy moments and those less, interspersed with periodic meetings that have cemented over time the bonds of friendship and brotherhood.

Now, from the data provided, we can express some considerations.

The first is that, in a country where the average life expectancy is 80,1 years, military life (which passes through the Academy) obviously extends its existence, except for "mass advances" in the Cesarini area.

The second is that, given the excellences described, the military can be a career with many intermediate and final destinations with an inexhaustible duration, even if reserved for white flies.

The third is that - unfortunately - the communiqué does not give proper honor to those who woke up at dawn and hailed the flag for a lifetime, looking up, finishing the professional path without much satisfaction, if not to be able to look without fear in the mirror.

The fourth is that, in the short term, the promotions of the general officers of all the armed forces could depend on the "approval" of the chief of staff of defense (until now the prerogative of individual chiefs of staff): who knows if, unlike today, in the future the fewest generals or admirals for each course will flaunt with pride!

The last concerns the completeness and honesty of information given the traditional "effervescence" of many countries (especially Africans): since many foreign soldiers are trained in our academies, who knows that one day we will not read about courses with .. .
